Lawrence Acedo's journey in the hospitality industry began in 1987 at a coffee shop, where his dedication and talent quickly propelled him to become one of the first male servers at The Peppermill. Balancing multiple roles, he also worked in fine dining and managed a beloved local Italian restaurant. His career then took an adventurous turn to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, where he rose to Assistant Food and Beverage Director. Lawrence spent his summers at the Grand Canyon, while his autumns were dedicated to his true passion for hospitality management at Zion National Park, refining his expertise in menu creation and staff training over five seasons.
In the winter of 1998, Lawrence's talents were recognized by Deer Valley Resort's prestigious restaurant, The Mariposa, acclaimed as the “Best Resort Restaurant in the United States.” There, he excelled in his hospitality studies, achieving a perfect score with The Insights Company and being celebrated as a standout employee. This success opened doors to a General Manager role at a popular Mexican restaurant. Later, he joined the Bill White Restaurant Group in Utah, where he created and flourished in the role of Director of Hospitality. Lawrence significantly expanded the company's VIP list and built strong relationships with hotel concierges and front desk teams in Park City. His latest venture was the successful opening of Pine Cone Ridge in Park City, UT.
Lawrence's journey continued at Stein Eriksen Lodge, where he achieved impeccable scores with Forbes Travel Agency and earned a 5-star distinction. His mentorship and leadership significantly enhanced the front-of-house operations at The Chateaux Hotel, helping the hotel reach its highest front-of-house point criteria in history. Outside of his professional achievements, Lawrence is passionate about travel, playing guitar, photography, and cooking. Music is a vital part of his life, and he enjoys sharing it with others. His family and friends are his guiding stars, offering unwavering support and inspiration throughout his career.
